Understanding Presbyopia:

Causes, Symptoms, and Effective Solutions for Clearer Vision

What is Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is a typical age-related condition that impacts the eye's capability to focus on near objects. As we age, the lens inside the eye gradually loses its versatility, making it hard to see things up close. This condition is a natural part of the aging process and generally becomes noticeable in the early to mid-40s.

Unlike other eye conditions such as myopia or hyperopia, presbyopia is not caused by the shape of the eyeball however rather by the hardening of the lens and weakening of the ciliary muscles that manage its shape. This loss of elasticity avoids the lens from altering shape as quickly as it once did, resulting in blurred near vision.
